Hello, friends. Welcome to the show. Today we are talking about five things business owners must do every week. Here we go. Welcome to build the business success secrets. The only podcast that provides great talk for entrepreneurs. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, starting with an idea or growing your business, this show is for you.

We’ll teach you how to build a strong mindset, powerful body and profitable business so you can achieve success. And here’s your host, Brendan. See White. Five things business owners must do every week. Number one. Spend at least 50% of your time on your product. What happens is we get so lost in our business and the operations and all of these other things that we sometimes lose focus on what actually got us to where we are, where we’re making money, where we have a successful business and how you got there is through your product or service.

I’ve been guilty of this. You get lost in the business and all these other things as you start to scale. But you always want to have touch with that product. So spend 50% of your time on your product number to run your numbers. And those of you who have listened to my podcast will believe that I’m talking about financials. But I’m not today.

What I am talking about is your key performance indicators Figure out the 453 to 5 key performance indicators kpi s that are a prediction of your business success and track them and know them every single week. Those are what are going to scale your business to a bigger venture. Number three exercise at least four times a week. You’ve got to do this. And I promise you, when you exercise, you actually have more energy. That’s right. More energy, not less.

You have got to exercise at least four days a week for an hour. I was reading a book recently that said, In your forties, you should be exercising four or five times a week, or the cells that degrade as you get older will overcome the rejuvenation cells that are a byproduct of exercise. And they age you when you’re 50 plus, you need to be doing six days a week of at least one hour and at least in heart rate zone, too. That means you’re sweating doesn’t mean you can’t talk.

It just means that you’re sweating and you’ve got your heart rate elevated. An amazing thing I do. People are like, Oh, Brendan, you ride your bike so many hours a week, I get more work done on my bike sometimes than in the office. It’s quiet. When you exercise, your mind is focused. You’re resting your brain because you are so focused on doing the exercise that you stop running your brain thought process that can sort of go crazy. So make sure you’re exercising.

I know you’ve heard it before, but you have got to make time, and we can all make time if it means getting up an hour earlier. I bet you you get three hours of productivity increased by getting up an hour earlier and doing the exercise number four. Manage your cash. Cash is the lifeblood of your company. Don’t manage your company by your P and l manage it by your cash flow and understand the decisions that you are currently making and how they will affect that cash flow down the line.

Make sure you can pay payroll rent and actually buy your product if you have one or finance your services, which generally come from people number five. Get out of the office. What I mean by this is get out of the office. Don’t manage your business and your customers by your keyboard. Get out and talk to customers.

If you have a digital business or virtual business, that’s okay. Get on the phone. That means out of the office. What I’m talking about here is talking to real humans in a voice, either in person or on the phone or a video conference. I don’t care what that is, but I want you to be speaking and looking at another human who is your customer so that you can have a relation with relationship with them and understand their feedback about how you’re doing.

So write down these five things, create a checklist and make sure you as a business owner are doing these every week to make sure your business is successful.
