What if there was one productivity hack that applied to everything you do, that always worked to get you headed in the right direction?
Today you’re getting this hack in the form of a short exercise.
If you’re in a place where you can draw then grab a pen or pencil and scrap sheet of paper. If you’re not in a place where you can write then you can use your imagination for now and write this down when you get to a place because you’ll want to pin this to your computer or corkboard in your office to reference….
Draw a circle on the left hand side of the page.
Now draw a circle on the right hand side of the page BUT overlap it about ¼ with the other circle so you almost have the shape of a football or rugby ball where the two circles overlap.
In the circle on the left where it doesn’t overlap write, “What’s Important”
On the circle on the right where it doesn’t overlap write “What I can control”
In that section where it overlaps that looks like a football or rugby ball, write “Do this”
Do this means that’s what you do or focus on.
This works for just about anything from prioritizing tasks, reacting to situations that come up, or figuring out your next move.
So when you’re just not sure what to do, fill in the circles, it will always get you headed in the right direction.
Your Move.
