Hello, friends. Welcome to the show. Today I have a secret zoom filter that will make you look better on video calls. Are you zoomed out yet? Don’t know about you, but this whole pandemic has increased meetings. I feel like even the remote teams that we run have increased meetings with the pandemic. I don’t know.
Everybody wants to talk. I guess maybe it’s because you can’t get out. Can’t go out, Eat all that stuff anyway. Here’s one thing I do know looking better on video is something that we all want to dio. And this little secret zoom filter will make you look better, but just 30 seconds worth of work. Let’s get to it. All right. So we all wanna look better on our video calls, and there’s a bunch of cool backgrounds that you can put onto your whether using, zoom or you’re using Google hangouts or I don’t know another video conferencing program.
There’s a ton of things, and then there’s these filters that you can put on. But some of these filters make you look like the Kardashians would spark all over your face. And and in business, we do wanna have some semblance of a professional look. So here’s what you can do. Thank you. Zoom for doing this. I didn’t know about it, and I discovered it recently, and it works incredibly well. Is a setting on Zoom, which they call a zoom filter, but it’s in your settings that you can change very quickly. You’re in 30 seconds. You could do it while you’re listening to this.
That is going to make you look better without even changing your lighting or anything. So here’s how to do it. Open up your zoom right now if you have it. If you don’t have it, make a note. You’re gonna open zoom and then you’re going to go in the left hand corner of the page. There’s a mute button, and then there is a stop video. If you click that little arrow, which is pointing up, you’ll see a setting that says video settings. So go to video settings and then in video settings. Under there’s a camera that you would pull down to talk about what camera you want to use. And then there’s this my video section, and there’s a box right there that you can check and it says, Touch up my appearance and all you have to do is check that box and move that slider. I just moved it just a little bit, and it made a ton of difference in the What? What should I say? My look, and it can make a ton of difference in your look. And here’s the thing. It looks natural. It’s make up. That’s not make up. So it’s very hard to tell in it versus a filter.
Now you can do filters in Zoom, but doesn’t we’re talking about today. This is a built in June filter that they’ve already done for us, and it and it works. There’s no glitches here that I’ve ever experienced because it’s not a plug in, and it’s not anything like that. It’s It’s native to zoom. So again, open your zoom, go to the video section, then the video in the left hand corner hit that arrow it video settings.
Video settings will open up the settings tab. It will open a video. You’ll see a camera section and then my video check the box that says, Touch up my appearance and move that little slider and you’ll be looking better We’ll see you in June.
